Swim safety and ensuring your pool fence is complaint with State Regulations is a requirement. Your family’s safety cannot be compromised, as such, your compliant pool fence will ensure your children are kept safe and assist your supervision of them while they have fun swimming. Whilst your pool fence is not a substitute for supervision it does ensure that little people located exactly where Mum’s and Dad’s expect them to be.
Pool fences must be built in accordance with the Australian Standard Swimming pool safety Part 1: Safety barriers for swimming pools AS 1926.1-2012. Owners are required to register their swimming pool with their local council and be inspected by an approved inspector every four years in Victoria.
The inspector must submit a comprehensive safety barrier report to the local council proving the fencing meets the Australian Standards and State Regulations. Further information can be found at https://www.spasa.com.au .
The Captain can provide recommendations to ensure that your pool fence is complaint with the Australian Standard.
